Carcinoma
It is a type that may arise from the epithelial cells that is lining of cells with the role to protect or enclose organs. This type can cancer can overrun the surrounding tissue and organs and metastasise to the lymph nodes and other body parts. Breast cancer, prostate, lung and colon cancer are in this type.

Sarcoma
It is a type of malignant tumor of the bone or soft tissue like fat, muscle, blood vessels, nerves and other connective tissues. Leiomyosarcoma, liposarcoma and osteosarcoma are the common forms of this type of cancer.

Lymphoma and Myeloma
This category begins in the cells of the immune system. The first one or Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system - runs all through the body. It can occur anywhere. On the other side, Myeloma starts in the plasma cells or white blood cells that have the role of producing antibodies to help fight infection. This type of cancer can affect the cell's ability to produce antibodies effectively.

Leukaemia
It is a type of cancer related to the white blood cells and bone marrow – that is a tissue to form blood cells. Lymphocytic leukaemia and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia are the common categories in this type.

Brain and Spinal Cord Cancers
This type of cancer is known as central nervous system cancers. Some are benign; while others can grow and spread.

GBM or Glioblastoma Multiforme – the Rare One
GBM or Glioblastoma Multiforme is a grave IV astrocytoma – a fast growing and aggressive brain tumor – invades the nearby brain tissue and doesn’t spread to distant organs. It can arise in the brain de novo or evolve from lower grade astrocytoma.

GBM occurs often in the cerebral hemisphere in adults – mainly in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. It is a devastating brain cancer – result in death in 6 months or less. It will be better to seek expert neuro-oncological or neurosurgical care.

Symptoms may vary and depend on the brain tumor location. The early signs are persistent headaches, double or blurred vision, vomiting, loss of appetite, changes in mood and personality, changes in the ability to think and learn, new onset of seizures and speech difficult of gradual onset.
