Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary

This beautiful bird sanctuary is just 5 km away from Panjim the capital city of Goa on the island of Chorao, on the bank of Mandovi river. The bird sanctuary is named after the great Indian ornithologist and naturalist Sir Salim Moinuddin Abdul Ali who is also known as the birdman of India. This heavenly Bird Sanctuary is the smallest bird sanctuary in India it is spread over an area of 1.8 square kilometers only.
