On 24th May 2023, the Eliminator match of IPL 2023 played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai between Lucknow Super Giants vs Mumbai Indians. MI won the toss and elected to bat first. The MI team managed to score a total of 182 runs in their allotted 20 overs, losing eight wickets in the process. In return LSG could score only 101 runs and the whole team was bowled out in just 16.3 overs.

The Mumbai Indians won the match by a lead of 81 runs and have secured their place in the semifinals. They will be playing against the Gujarat Titans in the second quarter finals on 26th May 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
