The 70th match of IPL 2023 played between Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Gujarat Titans at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on 21st May 2023. GT won the toss and opted to bowl. RCB batted first and managed to score 197 runs in 20 overs by losing five wickets. GT, on the other hand, successfully chased down the target in just 19.1 overs by losing only 4 wickets. As a result, GT defeated RCB comprehensively by 6 wickets. With this, RCB has unfortunately missed out on the playoffs this season, dashing their hopes of taking home the IPL Title. RCB had an impressive start during the powerplay as their openers, Plessis and Kohli, scored 62 runs without losing any wickets. The duo played exceptionally well in partnership and added 67 runs to the team's score in just 43 balls. Plessis contributed with 28 runs off 19 bowls before he returned to the pavilion.
