Women Premier League well known by the name of Tata WPL and run by BCCI is all set to kickstart it’s first season on 4th March 2023. The auction for the league was held on 13th Feb 2023 at the the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. A total of five Teams will compete in the tournament.

UP Warriorz franchise was bought by English international Sophie Ecclestone for ₹2.8 Cr. England's Jon Lewis has been named as the head coach of the franchise while Anju Jain has been named as the assistant coach. Former Australian cricketers Ashley Noffke is the bowling coach and four-time world champion Lisa Sthalekar is the Team's mentor.

UW Strength
UP Warriorz Franchise has a roped good overseas player in the Team. The bowling strength of the Team is looking into good shape. Shabnim Ismail is the fast bowler along with medium pacer Anjali Sarvani, Lauren Bell, S Yashasri in the Team. Batting also can be said to be good as Grace Harris and Tahlia Mcgrath are the hard hitters. Sophie Ecclestone has been adjudged as the no.1 bowler in the T20 International.
UW Weakness
Team will experience a setback in terms of batting. Franchise has acquired Inexperienced Indian batters in the Team. Also, the experienced players in the Team are only six in number, other players are young and new.
