Women Premier League well known by the name of Tata WPL and run by BCCI is all set to kickstart it’s first season on 4th March 2023. The auction for the league was held on 13th Feb 2023 at the the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. A total of five Teams will compete in the tournament.

Gujarat Giants franchise was bought by Adani Sportsline Private Limited, a subsidiary of Adani Group for ₹1289 Cr (USD 158 million). Mithali Raj appointed as the mentor of GG. Rachael Haynes has been appointed as the Head Coach for Gujarat Giants. Nooshin Al Khadeer is appointed as bowling coach, Tushar Arothe as batting coach, and Gavan Twining as fielding coach.

Top overseas players have been roped by Gujarat Titans franchise on their side. Ashleigh Gardner, Beth Mooney, Deandra Dottin, Sophia Dunkley all the good overseas options are in their Team thus, making the Team Strength stronger.
GG Weakness
While aiming to get top-tier overseas players in the Team, GG Franchise failed to make a group of the Indian Players. Most of the good Indian Players will be seen playing in the competitor four Teams in WPL. From the Indian National Team, GG Franchise roped in Sneh Rana, Harleen Deol, Sushma Verma and others but they do have lack of depth.
