Global Participation
The WPL Auction is truly a global affair, with players from various cricket-playing nations making it to the final auction list. Apart from India, the list includes players from Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ireland, and Zimbabwe. Moreover, the inclusion of eight players from UAE, Hong Kong, Thailand, Netherlands, and the USA adds further diversity to the talent pool.

Franchise Dynamics
Five franchises will be vying for the top talents in the WPL Auction. Each team will have a budget of INR 12 Cr to assemble their squad, which is relatively smaller compared to the Indian Premier League's (IPL) budget of approximately INR 95 Cr. However, this limitation will only add to the strategic aspect of the auction, as teams will need to make shrewd decisions to secure the best players within their budget.

The teams will be allowed to have a squad size ranging from 15 to 18 players, with the provision to include up to 6 overseas players. This flexibility will enable the franchises to create a balanced combination of local and international talent. With a maximum of 90 players up for grabs, the auction promises to be a thrilling spectacle for cricket enthusiasts.
