The 6th match of WPL 2023 took place at Mumbai's Brabourne stadium between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Gujarat Giants. After winning the toss, Gujarat Giants chose to bat first and set a target of 202 runs for RCB, having lost 7 wickets in 20 overs. Unfortunately, Beth Mooney was unable to play due to a running knee injury. RCB could only manage to score 190 runs and lost the match on the verge of wickets. This was RCB's third loss in the series, while GG opened their account by securing a victory against RCB. In terms of wickets, GG's first fell in the form of Meghana, who scored 8 runs for 11 balls in the third over. Dunkley was the second to return to the pavilion in the 8th over, having contributed 65 runs for 28 balls. In the 14th over of the game, Gardner was stumped out by Richa on a score of 19 runs for 15 balls. Hemalata was the next to go, after adding 16 runs for 7 balls, returning to the pavilion in the 16th over.

The opening duo of Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine got off to a flying start in pursuit of 202 runs. However, in the 6th over, Mandhana got out after scoring 18 runs off 14 balls, thanks to Gardner's delivery. Devine and Ellyse Perry continued their partnership, and in the powerplay, the team had scored 59 runs with just one wicket down. Perry got out in the 12th over after scoring 32 runs off 25 balls. Devine scored the highest for RCB with 66 runs, while Harleen made 67 runs for GG. Gardner took three wickets for GG, while Sutherland took two wickets.
