WPL 2023 11th Match Highlights: DC-W vs RCB-W; DC won the match, RCB faced 5th consecutive loss

The 11th Match of WPL was played between Delhi Capitals vs Royal Challengers Bangalore at DY Patil Stadium. DC won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, RCB made the target of 150 runs in 20 overs on the verge of 4 wickets. In return, Delhi conquered the target in 19.4 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.

Today, it is the 4th victory of Delhi Capitals in this season of WPL. They have lost only one match played against the legend Mumbai Indians. DC defeated GG and UPW in 1-1 matches and RCB in 2 matches.

RCB faced shameful defeat for the 5th time in today’s match. They did not win any match yet in the series. Today is the second time they lost against DC. They were also defeated by MI, GG, UPW. 

RCB at the start of the match played in a calculated manner, till the 4th over they scored 24 runs without any loss of the wicket. After then Captain Mandhana returned to the pavilion. Ellyse Perry played unbeaten inning of 67 runs and led the score of the Team to 150 in total.

DC’s Shikha Pandey took 3 wickets including Mandhana’s wicket. Tara Norris took 1 wicket.

Chasing 151 runs, in the powerplay DC scored 52 runs by losing 2 wickets. In the first over they lost the wicket of Shafali Varma. In the last over of the match, DC needed 9 runs to win the match. Jess Jonassen hit sixer and then a boundary and ensured the victory of the Team.  

RCB’s Asha Shobhana took two wickets while Preeti Bose and Megan Schutt took 1-1 wicket each.
