India faced off against England in the 14th match of the ICC Women's World Cup 2023 at St George's Park, Gqeberha. Indian Women won the toss and elected to field first. Renuka Singh's impressive bowling skills led to the early dismissal of England's explosive opener, Wyatt, on a score of 0 runs, setting a good start for her team. Capsey, who replaced Wyatt, was also dismissed by Singh for only 3 runs. The England team lost 3 wickets for just 30 runs in the first 5 overs. However, Nat Sciver and Captain H Knight's partnership added 51 runs for the fourth wicket. Sciver performed well, scoring 50 runs in 42 balls, while Knight scored 28 runs in 23 balls. England's wicketkeeper, Jones, also played a commendable inning, scoring 40 runs in 27 balls, taking her team's score to 151. India's Renuka Singh was the star bowler, taking five wickets for just 15 runs in her four overs. Shikha Pandey and Deepti Sharma supported her by taking one wicket each.

India started off chasing a target of 151 runs but lost their first wicket, Shafali Verma, at 29 runs. The second wicket partnership between Mandhana and Rodrigues was worth 28 runs. Unfortunately, Captain Harmanpreet lost her wicket early after Rodrigues. Mandhana played a good innings of 52 runs in 41 balls and shared a partnership of 53 runs with Richa Ghosh for the fourth wicket. Ghosh also played well and scored 47 runs in 34 balls. However, their efforts were not enough to secure a win and they lost the match by 11 runs. Nat Sciver Brunt was awarded the player of the match for scoring 50 runs for England.
