Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Highlights: ENGW vs SAW; South Africa in finals

The second semi-final match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 took place at Newlands, Cape Town, between England and South Africa. The toss was won by South Africa, who decided to bat first. The team started well, adding 96 runs for the first wicket. Wolvaardt and Brits played important innings, scoring 53 and 68 runs, respectively. South Africa finished their innings with a total of 164 runs. Khaka and Ismail bowled exceptionally well, taking 4 and 3 wickets, respectively.

England began their chase with a good start, adding 53 runs for the first wicket. However, they lost two quick wickets in the form of Dunkley and Capsey. Wyatt and Bat Sciver shared a 32-run partnership for the third wicket. After adding 47 runs for the fourth wicket, England was defeated by South Africa by 6 runs. Tazmin Brist was named the player of the match.
