England and Ireland played their sixth match of the World Cup today at Boland Park in Paarl. Ireland won the toss and decided to bat first, but their team only managed to score 105 runs. Although Ireland's opener, Lewis, played a solid innings of 36 off 37 balls, no other batsman was able to score more than 10 runs after Lewis was dismissed. England's bowlers, Sarah Glenn and Ecclestone, took 3 wickets each, while Charlotte Dean took 2 wickets, and Bell and Katherine Sciver took one wicket each. Ireland was all out in just 18.2 overs. England lost their first wicket quickly, but Alice Capsey's impressive performance of 50 runs in just 22 balls, the fastest fifty of the World Cup so far, helped England win the match by 4 wickets. Capsey was named the man of the match for her stellar performance.
