The 19th match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 was played between West Indies vs Pakistan at Boland Park, Paarl.
West Indies Women's won the toss and decided to bat first.
Batting first, the West Indies Team added 33 runs while sharing a good partnership for the first wicket. West Indies lost their first wicket in the form of Captain Mathews who contributed 20 runs to his team.
Sharing a good partnership for the second wicket as well, Williamson and Campbelle added 40 runs for his team. Williamson added 30 runs in 34 balls and Campbelle added 22 runs in 26 balls.
Apart from these, none of the West Indies batsmen performed well, due to which West Indies score was limited to 116 in 20 overs. Pakistan's all-rounder Nida Dar took 2 wickets in 4 overs.
Chasing 117 runs, Pakistan didn't get off to a good start and Captain Matthews gave the first blow to Pakistan. Team lost their second wicket at 15 as well.
Maroof and Dar shared a 44-run partnership for the third wicket. Captain Maroof scored 26 runs in 33 balls and Dar scored 27 runs in 21 balls.
Middle order batsman Riaz played a good inning of 29 runs in 23 balls, but he could not made it to win for the Team and Pakistan had to face of defeat by 3 runs.
An all-rounder performance from the West Indies skipper, who scored 20 off 21 balls and took two crucial wickets, earning the player of the match award.
