Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Highlights: West Indies vs Ireland; West Indies defeated Ireland and registered their first win

The 13th match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 was played between Ireland vs West Indies.

The Ireland Team, which won the toss and came to bat first, did not have a good start and lost their first wicket at the score of 1 run. 

For the second wicket, Gaby Lewis and Orla Prendergast put on 91 runs, which is the highest partnership for Ireland in the World Cup.

Prendergast played an important innings for his team added 61 runs in 47 balls and Lewis added 38 runs in 34 balls to support him. 

Ireland were heading towards a big total but West Indies bowlers did very well in the death overs, taking 7 wickets for just 20 runs and stopping Ireland for 137.

Connell bowled well to take 3 wickets for the West Indies and while supporting him, Ramharack and Fletcher took two wickets each. 

Chasing 137 runs, the West Indies team lost its first wicket in the form of Williams for 28 runs. 

Captain Mathews of West Indies team won his team by playing an unbeaten 66 runs in 53 balls. 

Well supported by Henry who scored 34 runs in 28 balls. 

West Indies achieved the score of 137 in 20 overs and beat Ireland by 6 wickets.
