Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Highlights: NZW vs SLW; New Zealand won by 102 runs

The 17th match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 was played between New Zealand vs Sri Lanka at Boland Park, Paarl.

New Zealand Women won the toss and chose to bat first. New Zealand Openers added 46 runs for the first wicket.

New Zealand shared a 110-run partnership for the second wicket. Bates played a good innings, scored 56 runs in 50 balls and Kerr scored 66 runs in 48 balls. 

Presenting a view of good bowling, Kerr and Tahuhu took two wickets each. 

Chasing 162, the Sri Lankan Team got reduced to just 60 runs. 

Sri Lankan Captain Athapaththu scored 19 runs in 21 balls. Apart from him, no one has been able to cross the double-digit score before. Sri Lankan Team got all out in 16 overs. 

Amelia kerr was awarded Player of the Match for her all-round performance.
