Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Highlights: New Zealand vs Bangladesh; New Zealand recorded a huge win over Bangladesh by 71 runs

The 12th match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 between New Zealand and Bangladesh took place at Newlands Cape Town. New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat first. The team got off to a strong start, with the first wicket partnership adding 77 runs. Bezuidenhout scored 44 runs off 26 balls with a strike rate of 169, while Suzie Bates added a crucial 81 runs off 61 balls. Maddy Green batted well in the final over and scored 44 runs with a strike rate of 220. New Zealand finished with an impressive total of 189 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in their 20 overs. Carson and Rowe were the standout bowlers for New Zealand, taking 3 and 2 wickets respectively. 

Despite chasing a challenging target, Bangladesh struggled to score runs, and none of their batsmen performed well, barring Shorna Akter who scored 31 runs off 22 balls. Bangladesh could only manage to score 118 runs in their 20 overs. Suzie Bates was named the player of the match for her brilliant knock.
