The 12th match of ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 was played between New Zealand vs Bangladesh at Newlands Cape Town. Elected to bat first after winning the toss, New Zealand Team made a very good start and added 77 runs for the first wicket.

New Zealand opener Bezuidenhout added 44 runs in 26 balls with a strike rate of 169. New Zealand's second opener Suzie Bates added a crucial 81 runs in 61 balls.

After 3 wickets fell in the field, Maddy Green batted very well in the last over and added 44 runs with a strike rate of 220. New Zealand posted a huge total of 189 in 20 overs losing 3 wickets.

Bowling well for New Zealand, Carson took 3 wickets and Rowe took two wickets.

Chasing 189, None of the batsmen did well for Bangladesh. Due to which Bangladesh could score only 118 runs in their 20 overs.

Shorna Akter added 31 runs in 22 balls, playing the only good innings from Bangladesh. Suzie Bates was adjudged player of the match.
