The second semi-final of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 was played between England vs South Africa at Newlands, Cape Town.
South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. By starting well, Team added 96 runs for the first wicket. Wolvaardt batted well adding 53 runs in 44 balls.
Brits also played an important innings adding 68 runs in 55 balls. South Africa scored 164 runs in total in their 20 overs which was a decent score.
South African fast bowler Khaka took 4 wickets while bowling very well and Ismail took three wickets. Chasing 165 runs, the England Team got off to a good start and added 53 runs for the first wicket.
On 53 runs, England got two consecutive shocks in the form of Dunkley and Capsey. For the third wicket, Wyatt and Bat Sciver shared a 32-run partnership. Fourth wicket was down after adding 47 runs to the Team.
England was defeated by South Africa for 6 runs. The player of the match was Tazmin Brist.
