Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Highlights: AUSW vs SAW; Australia won by 6 wickets

Australia faced off against South Africa in Match 15 of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup at St George's Park, Gqeberha. After winning the toss, Australia chose to bowl first. While South Africa's openers started off strong with a partnership of 54 runs, only Brits managed to make a significant impact with 45 runs off 36 balls. This resulted in the team finishing with a total score of 124 runs in 20 overs. Australia's Wareham proved to be a skilled bowler, taking 2 wickets, while Gardner, Perry, Brown, and Schrute each took one. 

Chasing the 124-run target, Australia started off with a loss as Parry went out for 24 runs. The team then lost their captain for just 29 runs. However, Gardner and McGrath stepped up, adding 81 runs for the fourth wicket. McGrath's excellent performance, scoring 57 runs off 33 balls, led Australia to victory. She was awarded the player of the match.
