Women’s T20 World Cup 2023 Highlights: Australia vs Sri Lanka; Australia beat Sri Lanka by 10 wickets

Australia faced off against Sri Lanka in the 11th match of ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2023 held at ST George's Park Gqeberha. After winning the toss, Australia decided to field first and invited Sri Lanka to bat. The Sri Lankan opener Madhavi played a good innings and scored 34 runs in 40 balls. Captain Athapaththu scored 16 runs in 16 balls, while Vishami Gunaratne and De Silva scored 24 and 15 runs respectively. Sri Lanka managed to score 112 runs while losing 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs, which was not a good total. Australia's Megan Schutt bowled exceptionally well and took four wickets for just 24 runs in 4 overs. Grace Harris took two wickets, while Perry and Wareham took one each while supporting Megan Schutt. 

Chasing 112 runs, the Australian openers Healy and Mooney batted beautifully and achieved the target without losing any wicket. Healy scored 54 runs in 43 balls, and Mooney scored 56 runs in 53 balls. Australian wicket-keeper Alyssa Healy was named player of the match for her unbeaten 54 runs and 3 stumpings.
