The match between RCB and DC has been kicked off at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. RCB won the toss and opt to field first.
By losing the toss and came to bat first, Delhi Capitals scored 223 in 20 overs by losing 2 wickets, which is a decent target given to Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Opener Shafali Varma scored highest 84 runs for 45 balls and Captain Meg Lanning socred 72 runs. Both the wickets have been captured by Heather Knight.
A good partnership of 162 runs
Delhi Capitals opener Shafali Varma and Meg Lanning shared the good partnership of 100 runs in 10th over of the match. During the powerplay, without losing any wicket, after scoring 58 runs they both did aggressive batting. Shafali hit the fifty in 31 balls. Lanning also hit fifty in 30 balls just in next over.
Both the batters were clean bowled by knight in the 15th over of the match. Shafali scored 84 runs in 45 balls while Lanning scored 72 runs in 43 balls.
RCB on the Crease
Royal Challengers Bangalore playing on the crease now. RCB openers Captain Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine are on the crease.
Chasing 224 runs, the RCB team got off to a good start and added 40 runs in their 4 overs. In the fifth over of the match, Capsey gave the first blow to RCB in the form of Devine.
RCB Captain Smriti Mandhana, on the other hand, batted well and scored 35 runs off 23 balls. But Mandhana's wicket down in the sixth over. All-rounder Ellyse Perry played a good inning, added 31 runs in 19 balls to the Team score.
Knight added and Schutt added 34 and 30 runs respectively to the Team scores. But due to lack of good partnership, RCB couldn't made it to reach the target and scored 163 runs in 20 overs. RCB lost to DC by 60 runs.
Tara Norris on her debut was the star player of the match. Norris cracked 4 wickets in her starting 3 overs. In her fourth over she sent back knight to the pavilion and cracket her 5th wicket in the match. Capsey got 2 and Shikha Pandey captured 1 wicket in the match.
