Umran Malik is a talented Indian cricketer who represents the Indian cricket team in limited overs cricket. He is known for his exceptional pace and plays as a right-arm fast bowler. Additionally, he bats right-handed. Malik also plays for Jammu and Kashmir in domestic cricket and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL.

Umran Malik, born on November 22, 1999, hails from Jammu. He recently made his IPL debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Kolkata Knight Riders in October 2021. During a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he grabbed all the attention by bowling five consecutive balls at a speed of over 150 kmph. His impressive performance earned him a spot in the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. In November 2021, Malik also made his first-class debut for India A against South Africa A.

During the 2020 IPL match against Gujarat Titans, he managed to take five wickets and received the title of Emerging Player of the Tournament.

He played his first T20I match against Ireland in June 2022 and later made his debut in ODI against New Zealand in the same year.

Malik set a new record in January 2023 for the fastest ball ever bowled by an Indian cricketer in a T20I match against Sri Lanka at Wankhede Stadium. His speed of 155 kmph surpassed Jasprit Bumrah's previous record.
