Riyan Parag is a cricketer hailing from India who represents Assam in domestic cricket and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He is an accomplished batter who bats at the top of the order and prefers to bat with his right hand. Additionally, he bowls leg breaks to add to his versatility as a player.

Riyan Parag hails from Guwahati in Assam and was born on November 10th, 2001. He comes from a family with a strong sports background. His father was a former first-class cricketer who played for Assam and Railways, while his mother held the national record in 50m freestyle swimming and represented India as a swimmer in the SAF games.

Riyan began his T20 career for Assam in the Inter State Tournament back in 2017. Later in the same year, he made his first-class debut for Assam in the Ranji Trophy tournament. Riyan's excellent form continued in the following year as he emerged as the top scorer in the 2018-19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, amassing 248 runs in just seven matches.

In preparation for the IPL Season 2019, the Rajasthan Royals purchased him for a sum of 20 Lakhs. At the young age of 17 and 175 days, he achieved the record of being the youngest player to score a half-century in IPL, surpassing the previous record held jointly by Sanju Samson and Prithvi Shaw who achieved the feat at 18 years and 169 days.
