The concept of this day for human health came into effects with the proposal that was put forward by China and Brazil to create an organization that can tackle with health related issues globally. In the year 1945, it was presented with the statement that this organization should be totally independent from any government power. The organization should focus on health related issues in all nations and globally. In the year 1946, World Health Organization was formed in New York.

On 7 April, the organization came into existence in the year of 1948. At that time, 61 nations signed the agreement for the inception of the NGO to help people achieve their good health. WHO or World Health Organization declared World Health Day to be observed on 22nd July. However, the date was changed to 7th April – mainly to mark the establishment of the organization.

Why 2023 World Health Day Is Important
Being a very special day, 7th April 2023 will be observed as World Health Day to create awareness among people about the importance of good health.
