In return SRH scored 131 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets and lost to RR for 72 runs. 

Jos Butler and Yashasvi Jaiswal showed explosive opening to the inning. They played in a good partnership of  85 runs for 35 bowls. Jaiswal scored his 4th and Butler scored his 16th half century. Chasing 204 runs, Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi returned to the pavilion without opening the account. Agrawal tried to secure the inning and he scored 23 runs, but efforts went in vain. In the last over of the match Abdul Samad scored 23 runs including two boundaries and two sixers and narrow down the difference.

RR’s Yuzvendra Chahal took 4 wickets. Trent Boult took 2 wickets while Ashwin and Holder took 1-1 wickets each.

The Rajasthan Royals is one of the eight IPL franchises that was founded in 2008. The team is owned by Emerging Media IPL Ltd, led by Manoj Badale. In the first season of the IPL, RR won the title and came in second place against GT in 2022.
